I am not sure why the reviews are so bad here - I give honest reviews and this place blew me away. As a traveler, you are at times overwhelmed as to where you should go eat. This was a recommendation from our hotel. She wasn't sure but we had already gone to the other place she suggested. We ordered the chicken park, the petite prime and a children's chicken tenders for our son. I am currently expecting and had to ask for my petite prime well done. When it came I thought, I can not eat all of this meat! THIS WAS THE BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER EATTEN! It was not only cooked perfectly well, it was not burned (as most are when you ask for them well done), but it was juicy and amazing. Suffice it to say, I ate all of it and could have had more! My husband's chicken parm was gone and so was my sons food. I finished it with a slice of Ultimate Chocolate cake, which was nice after a long day.

Look, I don't mean to be hateful, but the fact is, this place is still named "Arthur's Supper Club" for precisely the same reasons that the food currently served (ugh!!!!! - I hesitate to even call it food) is inedible. True, this wasn't always the case. But the last time this place served a palatable meal was *at least* 10 years ago, and that's considering one hell of a nostalgia factor. Yeah. Before that, when I was a kid, only the adults got to go to Arthur's on special occasions. "Kid's table" was a frozen pizza or leftovers, all eaten from home, supervised by an older sibling or cousin. No kidding. So...this place is the terribles. Really. Food? Service? Ambiance? Meh. Eh.?. Anything? (No, really, when you're pissed off during or after your visit: you were warned.) It appears to me, as a bystander, that (honestly and earnestly) Arthur's and the Round Barn are conducting a neck and neck race to oblivion, which is a shame for the area.

After reading the plethora of negative reviews for this place, I had to do some internet research to make sure this was the same restaurant we experienced yesterday. Granted, we just ordered from the Drive-Thru, but we both thought our Prime Rib Sandwiches were the best Drive -thru meals we've ever had. Thick, juicy slabs of tender Prime Rib on a toasted Ciabatta Roll, Krinkle-Cut Fries were perfectly crisp outside, yet fluffy inside. They even came with a cup of Au Jus, a cup of 1,000 Island like dipping sauce and a Pickle. All of this was $6.99! Even the Soft Serve Shake I had was Thick, Rich and very chocolaty! I've never been in the restaurant, but this meal was definitely worth 5 stars!

A friend and I had breakfast at their Round Barn then brunch with the family at Arthur's. Neither were good and the "orange juice" was orange and liquid but not from nature. After the breakfast I complained about the orange colored beverage. The same orange stuff was presented at brunch. All the breakfast food rated a D+ Not long ago we were passing and decided to try dinner. The deep fried Walleye was pretty good, at the salad buffet the bowls were warm and the iceberg lettuce was about 5% green leaf the rest was yellow. The steaks were not properly cooked to order, my rare-medium rare order came medium well, and were mealy. That's the only word I can think to use to describe both surfaces of all of the steaks. Need I say the steaks didn't taste good and we saw no point in complaining. There's a lot to look at in this place which explains the "panem et circuses", the eyes fool all other senses. Zero stars are earned here but one must be given.

Awful. Took 45 minutes for a party of five to get our food. The steak was god awful. 90% fat. Service is a joke. We watched one table serve themselves and proceed to spill their beers and break glass everywhere! If there is any front of house management, they were taking a nap somewhere. The cooks should be fired for the poor ticket time and lackluster product. Won't be back.

Been going to Arthur's for years!!! Love it, whether it's brunch or dinner the food is really good. The drive thru on a supper club is a been weird....

I have a gluten allergy and thought the service was excellent in handling of my allergy. I ordered the Cajun Seafood special. It was under seasoned and the crab legs were over cooked and soggy/soft. The pawns were slightly over cooked. The scallops were properly cooked and were good. The special came with the salad bar. The blue cheese dressing was good (for the best dressing go to White Stag in Rhinelander). The dish that was excellent was the beef barley soup! I should have had that for dinner.

First, let me preface this with the fact that we have eaten at Arthur's for around 15 years when we travel to Spring Green. We have witnessed the transformation of the interior the last few years and many of the upgrades (some we like, some are not so good). However, we have gone every year. This year, I called an made our reservations and looked forward to the buffet, which is what I usually get. On arrival, I sat down and noticed the menu had changed (again). The prices have gone up a number of times the past few years, and this year, I wasn't happy with what I saw! Now there are 'up charges' all over the place!!!! For instance the buffet is only a true buffet for everything EXCEPT the prime rib. WHAT???? There have been many times when I have gotten a less than stellar piece and then gone back after eating it to get a better piece (non end or the cuts were very thin). Now, you only get ONE trip to the prime rib station and then have to pay extra to make it all you can eat. They would have done better making the prime rib an option (if you want it or not). Still $25 for a buffet where you only get one trip to the main protein is a bit odd!!!! So instead, I ordered the Walleye (which was ok) but then I ordered the bake potato as the side, the waitress then asked if I wanted a loaded backed potato? After finding out about the buffet, I asked if there was an extra charge (jokingly, as there never had been before) and was told YES. I then asked what the difference was and was informed that it had bacon and cheese which cost $1.00 extra. Since the salad bar was included, I just got bacon and cheese from it and put it on my potato (I still can't figure this one out). My wife ordered the Filet and the fried potatoes and asked for onions with it ($.50 up charge for the onions). She asked for her stake to be served Medium. When it arrived, it still had a personality! It was seared on the outside, but was still cold (VERY RARE) on the inside. I even took a picture as it was bright red! Somehow, drink refills are still free and unlimited (I checked as everything else had a extra price). Oh, just got my 'Birthday Dinner' email from them.. now it is limited to $20's where it used to be for a meal. Not a lot of items under $20 on the menu anymore, and $10 short of the 'Full Buffet' price. After close to 20 years of going there... I think when we go back to Spring Green in September, it will be the first time we skip Arthur's.

We spent the night in this town and noticed the huge electronic Breakfast sign. Long drive back required a decent breakfast. I already love supper clubs, and was so grateful to have breakfast. The decor is beautiful, fountains everywhere, including the bathroom. That could have been Frank Lloyd Wright inspired, and they have tributes to him, and his WI ties, here. I got the egg and cheese on a homemade biscuit, I added my side of bacon to it. I thought 1.99 was a typo. This is delicious and big. I had a bite of my husband's pancake. It's the size of the 49er at OPH. It tasted homemade, and I loved it. He offered me a bite of the steak and egg biscuit. Steaks served for breakfast are never good enough. This was so tender and charred perfectly. Our server, Ivy was great, and she even brought out someone to help us with exact directions. This answered this city woman's question, why would people live out here?

This place is fine if you want to eat at a restaurant in Spring Green. As it is one of veeeeeeeeery few places to eat there. They have a very odd King Arthur's Court theme. The rooms are as such: Two normal dining areas (one with American Player's Theatre posters), one with a Sean Connery King Arthur painting and lots of small flat screens of Scotland?, and one with a waterfall, faux rocks, and a bar. The last is full of white noise from the waterfall and I don't recommend it. However, do take a look. The food is fine. Don't expect anything and you'll be satisfied. The hamburger bar was good enough. The appetizers are fine. I've never had the steak but I think the other Yelper's have covered that one. The servers show up and aren't offensive. No matter where you are in WI, always get the deep fried cheese curds.

Bizarre and over-priced...and the food couldn't make it better. I've never seen a place trying to be SO much with SO little. The outside looks normal, but once inside you are thrust into the worst medieval nightmare. You've already read the other reviews. Let's focus on the food. I got what was 'supposed' to be a rib-eye. I've never seen a rib-eye like this one. They couldn't even cook it right. Almost flavorless, with a cup of pseudo-au jus and microwaved mashed potatoes. Need I say more? Everything about this place is awkward and strange. They try hard. I could see it, but the food was really bad for the high prices they charge. Maybe they should spend more money on quality food and less on flat screen TV's to teach us the clans of Scotland.

Update...to my surprise the general manager contacted me. I am upgrading my review just for the fact of the excellent customer service. We will return and try a different menu item. I would like to reiterate that the bar service, drinks and outdoor patio are worth the visit alone.

Embarrassed for them, mistake after mistake covered up by excuse after excuse, gave server honest opinions and an opportunity to have a manager or chef visit the table but they didn't take the opportunity to earn our trust back.. This was our 5th visit, usually large parties, but this was possibly the last visit for us..

Arthur's supper club is a strange mixture of pageantry and small town. In the main dining room a large painting of King Arthur (Sean Connery?) looks down at you with a quizzical expression. The room is, inexplicably, lined with flat screens showing various scenes (the owners last vacation?) which don't seem to have much to do with either King Arthur or dinner. The menu, which is relatively extensive, focuses on steak. When I asked our server what the difference was between a 12oz New York Strip for $24.95 and a 12oz New York Strip for $34.95 she said the more expensive steak was prime. When I pointed out that a watermark under the section with the $24.95 steak said prime she said "oh, that was a mistake". After that I no longer trusted the menu and ordered the nightly special, chicken and ribs (very ordinary). The other diners at my table had fish and steak and though no one sent their food back, neither did anyone say they would be back soon. While there is not a a tremendous choice in and around Spring Green I would not choose Arthur's as a first or second pick.

Arthur's was great! We initially were headed to the Round Barn for some lunch, but when we found that they now have very limited hours, we were bummed. Then, we decided to go to Arthur's. We thought this place was fabulous! We went for the brunch buffet. They had a great mixture of breakfast and lunch foods. I had some eggs mixed with green peppers, ham, and cheese which were very good. I also had some turkey and I put some mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and corn with it. That was tasty, too. I also recommend the fried chicken. It was juicy and delicious! They had an area where a guy would make you an omlette. I didn't try this, but it looked good. On the breakfast side were a couple of different types of eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, and waffles. On a separate table were various pastries and fruits. For dessert, there were these M&M cookies that were half dipped in chocolate. They were great! I also had some chocolate almond cheesecake which was wonderful. They also had carrot cake, chocolate cake, lemon cake, plain cheesecake, other types of cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries. I like the decor. I'm not even sure that words can describe it. It has several rooms and each one is a little different. We ate in a room with a rather large waterfall and a fake fire at the top. The service was excellent (although we did have buffet, so excellent for a buffet could be a little different). Our server was very friendly. What a pleasant surprise! I'm sure we will be back.

Quirky restaurant with "themed" rooms. Sean Connery watches you eat! Very yummy food and very friendly service. I definitely want to come here again.

Traditional supper club feel. Some items very good, others mediocre. Amazingly had excellent crab legs, poor lobster. Steak is good, not outstanding. Fish fry is good, best if not off the buffet. I also like the hash browns with onions, peppers and cheese. The feeling of a nicer restaurant in an area of small towns and few choices and food mediocre to very good.

I have gone to Arthur's for dinner for years but prices have recently gone sky high for no reason--Arthur's is a local institution, and basically the only game in town. The steaks and prime rib are usually excellent, as is the broiled shellfish, but you feel as if you are paying for all of the unnecessary decor and razzle dazzle electronics instead of the food. No veggies on dinner plate--in a restaurant in an agricultural heartland. The salad bar is fresh--but 1970's all the way. Soups can double as wallpaper paste--always thick and gummy. The bread is uninspired small white loaf. On a recent visit a "loaded" baked potato was about the size of my index finger--and one dollar extra--and served with cheeze whiz instead of real cheese. Ick. Again, in the middle of dairy country . Some of the former servers have moved on and their replacements are not as attentive or friendly The bar area is lively and the drinks are generous, but pricey as well. A seasonal patio area recently opened to enjoy drinks al fresco. There is a dance floor and live groups play on weekends. Arthur's has lots of rooms for banquets and private parties. Unfortunately, instead of noisy waterfalls, sports screens, and more Spanish Inquisition decor, it would be nice if the restrooms would be upgraded, the lobby waiting area improved for traffic, the dessert menu expanded, and the prices adjusted to match the zip code. Spring Green is not Manhattan. The word around town is that attendance on weeknights has dropped off due to the price increases. If any competition opened its doors within five miles, Arthur's would probably soon close--which is sad--but true. Update: restrooms have been improved. Waiting area now available, but very congested and confused traffic pattern at door. Decor still an assault on the senses--and prices unreasonably high. Their idea of a discount is "10 percent off" steaks on Tuesday nights. Arthur's--are you listening?--Go up the road and eat at Green Acres. Take notes. Come back with a new plan
